Fine, antique, unusually decorated Persian solid silver vase - Qajar period, circa 1880.
The entire surface is deeply hand-chased in repousse technique with a lion and some prey animals such as deer and antelope - work quality is superb with very fine detailing of the animals and trees.
The 2 handles are designed as snakes biting the lip.
Vase is signed on the bottom with 2 hallmarks for the maker and date.
Overall good condition for the age - 2 crisses at the top rim - please view all detailed pictures.
It measures 11.2 cm tall x 8 cm tall - weight is 241 grams.
