Unger Brothers was known for their high quality, ornate sterling silver. Most often known for exquisite vanity items they also made flatware and hollow ware like this beautiful bowl. Measures 9.5\" wide x 3\" high, a deep bowl with fluted sides and an ornate repousse\' pierced border of lifelike, detailed roses, buds and foliage. The repousse\' work is deeply blown out and closed from behind. Heavy too at 8.75 troy ounces but worth many times it silver value. Fancy script monogram of \"EFS\", marked \"sterling\" and the logo for Unger Bros.
