Wow, this one is truly stunning!
Glorious prussian blue, and turkey red on a white background.
Baskets of tulips are surrounded by a border of more Tulips with slender stems in small urns.
There are two small signatures on the back corners in pen and ink, unable to make out.
It expertly hand quilted at 10-12 stitches per inch, it has quilted double rods that are just 1/8\" wide and quilted grid work with squares that measure just 3/8\" x 3/8\"
Thin cotton batting, occasional tiny seed fragments could be seen when wet.
It is expertly hand appliqued.
It is hand bound.
It measures 72\" L x 87\" W
Freshly hand laundered and air dried.
This quilt is in very good condition. There is some very light tan age spotting on the front and some age spots on the back, a couple small spots of wear on the binding, on the back, we found 2 small repairs, one 1\" split, one tiny surface hole (See photos.)
An incredible quilt for the advanced collector, this one simply sings!
