OUTSTANDING QUALITY PAIR of ROCOCO SILVER TEA CADDIES, London 1744 Georgian:
$5347.70

We are offering for sale a wonderful pair of George II period silvertea caddies decorated in the Rococo taste.

Each caddy is superbly chased with flowers, leaves and scrolls and centred by an asymmetric cartouche that remains blank. The lift off covers are similarly decorated and topped off with a cast bud finial.

They are beautifully proportioned and sit comfortably in the hand. They have a good hefty weight and are in fabulous original condition. The hallmarks remain clear to the underside with makers marks to the covers.

Finding good single tea caddy\'s from this period is difficult, but to find such a great pair is quite a coup. They are perfect for offering a choice of teas.

We are currently alsooffering a very similar Rococosugar box from the same date (different maker). We bought them all together and they could originally been made as a matching threesome.
