Overall 1st National Stars and Bars Flag (11-Stars) Patriotic Cover Unused. \"We are in the field, and the bars are up!\" The cover is of Southern manufacture as there is a Printer\'s Imprint \"Allen & Boyer, Poydras St. N. O.\" Apparently this design was never distributed for Confederate use as there are no known examples of this design with Confederate postal use. Instead they appear to have been sold, most likely after the war, as souvenirs.
