Many years ago I bought a 1970 USA-model Ferrari 365GT 2+2 that had experienced an engine fire. Most of its parts were sold back then, but I just found this box with the alternators in my basement. (The US-model 365 used TWO alternators because of the giant cooling fan motors they had, which would suck the battery dry when idling) Euro-spec cars just had one. (One photo shows how the alternators were mounted on the engine) The Ferrari Daytona 365GTB/4 also used these alternators (just one) and I think the similar C/4 did as well. These will need complete rebuilding; they got plenty hot and although the armatures still turn, I\'m sure most internal electrical components were ruined. At the very least you would have two good cases and a lot of other serviceable parts, plus the mounting brackets which are impossible to find today.
