A strikingly elegant and uncommon Old Paris porcelain cup and saucer made in the period of Louis XVIIIeme ca 1820-25.Puce neogothic border decoration with wide golden borders. A superb early 19th century tea cup. In mint, very good condition. Undamaged and unrestored. Please do inspect my photographs carefully they represent my full condition report.
Paris, ca 1820-25, red painted mark \"J\" or \"T\" - I can\'t identify the manufactory - but if it is indeed a \"J\" then it might be connected to a decorator called Jeanne who worked in the Rue Saint Louis in Paris - mostly for the Duc D\'Angouleme The same Jeanne operated a decorating workshop in the Rue de Nazareth later for the King Louis Phillipe. incised 3, 24 , 24 T.Height cup 5.7 Diameter cup 9.5 cm Diameter saucer 14 cm.
