Here is Superb Quality Parisian Puiforcat Crystal and Silver Gilt (950/1000) Malt Whisky Serving / Drinking Set with a Barley Motif made in Paris circa 1900
Consisting of Four Pieces – A Large Whisky Decanter of Fine Crystal with Silver Gilt Fittings, Ring Stopper, “Whisky” Hanging Label, and Crystal Ice Bucket with a Silver Gilt Rim
Ears of Barley, the Raw Material of Scottish Malt Whisky, are Deeply Cut and Polished into the Massive Fine Crystal Bodies of the Decanter and Ice heavy square Whisky Decanter measures 3.75 inches by 3.75 inches (9.5 cms by 9.5 cms) and stands 9 inches high (23 Whisky Decanter has a cork stopper with silver gilt mounts and ring pull crystal ice bucket measures 7.5 inches across the handles (18.5 cms) and 5 inches in diameter (12.5 cms) and it stands 5.5 inches high (13.5 cms). The barley ears are beautifully cut into the heavy crystal.
There is a beautiful silver gilt “Whisky” label which is also part of this fine barware suite. The label measures 1.75 inches by 1.25 inches (4.5 cms by 3 cms).

The French hallmarks shown above are the maker’s mark “EP” in a diamond cartouche for Emile Puiforcat and the Minerva head (1) guarantee of 950/1000 silver.The correct marks are also stamped on the “Whisky” label, the decanter mount, the stopper and ring, the ice bucket rim and also on the nut on bottom of the stopper.
There is a very small chip on the underside of the ice bucket. See photo above for this. Otherwise the entire set is in excellent condition, with little sign of wear or use..
