Here are some VERY detailed plans for the rare Hawker Persian Fury radial-engined biplane fighter of the 1930s Golden Age in photocopied format. The Hawker Fury was the darling of the Silver Wings era of the RAF, and was powered by a liquid-cooled inline engine. When an export version was sold to the Persians (present day Iran) an air-cooled radial engine was deemed less troublesome for the climate. Three 11 x 17\" drawings, as illustrated. Now, I have not done the calculations to determine the exact scale of these plans, but I would estimate that they are someplace between 1:32 and 1:24 scale. I will tell you that the fuselage of the Persian Fury measures 10 1/4\" along the fuselage centerline from the tip of the prop shaft to the trailing edge of the rudder. If you want to look up the actual dimensions on Wikipedia, you can come up with the exact scale of these plans. Then, simply divide/multiply this scale with whatever scale you desire to get a copy ratio. Take these to any photocopier with an enlargement/ reduction capacity and you can walk away with plans in virtually any scale you wish to build. Please note that these plans were photocopied from a magazine, and as such, there is a bit of distortion on the centerline between the two 8 1/2 x11\" sheets, which were copied on one 11 x 17\" page. These two 11 x 17\" sheets (one is sprinted on both sides) will be folded several times and shipped to you in a standard letter envelope envelope.
