This sale highlights PHENIX watch. Today PHENIX watchesare relatively rare because \"PhenixWatch Co\" was a small watchcompany in terms of production, compared to such other big names like Omega, Hamilton, Tissot, and manyothers.
This watch is from the WWII period. In 1930-1940\'s,many Swiss manufacturers supplied watches mainly for military purposes and thisspecimen is executed in a military style.
This manual wind watch features anew professionally re-made dial, because unfortunately the former dial hasbeen strongly spoilt. It features a 60minute checkered outer track border with numbering, easily readable Arabicfigures of a military style, and arrow-hands. On the dial there is also the image of German military plane.
This model of the watch has a three-piece case. On theback cover there is a marking ofLuftwaffe \'FI\' (Flight) and number #03243.
This mechanical watch has an original branded movement. The clear qualitative original movement with genuine jewels is in anexcellent status which was very well saved, considering age of this watch.
Thepocket watches were not practical in combat. So, this watch was converted towristwatch.The watch is fitted on a new 20 mm black genuine high-quality leather strapwith chrome steel buckle. The beautiful strap that is stitched by whitethreads is military style and goes very well with this wonderful watch.
