WESTERN LANDSCAPE, 9\" x 11-1/2\" oil on canvas cut down and taped inside a mat (framed size: 17-1/2\" x 20\") signed lower left in yellow: Pitt Fitzgerald. Signature is somewhat hard to see as it blends with the colors in the lower left area. The artist\'s work does not come up too often. A painting entitled \"When Work is Done\", a 16\" x 20\" oil, sold at Butterfield\'s on 12/12/2001 for $2938.00.
It has been noted that Pitt Fitzgerald is mentioned in NC Wyeth\'s Biography as one of his students and as a \"sensitive twenty-two year old that had studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts\" and a few other facts.
