FINE ANTIQUE 19thc INTERIOR SCENE PAINTING SIGNED LOWER LEFT BY WELL LISTED ARTIST: PLATT POWELLRYDER (1821-1896) American Size: 20 X 24. Framed: 26.5 x 31. A very fine painting on canvas by a well listed, accomplished artist from the 19th c. Pa. born, Ryder was not as prolific as others of his generation as his paintings rarely come up. This particular one is very charming with the cute cat hanging close by. Well executed piece and worthy of a good look. The oil has been lined, some stabilized craquelure in the upper 4\"quadrant and shows minor surface grime, but overall ready to hang. Signed very faintly in the lower left. I took the photo of the signature under a black light. The painting black lights very well. This baby it truly ready to hang! Frame shows some areas of distress (as seen) Help yourself here.
