PRE CIVIL WAR Vintage Irish Chain Antique Quilt ~SAWTOOTH BORDER & GREAT QUILTING!

This GORGEOUS cotton 1850\'s triple Irish chain quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted, with a sawtooth border.

It measures 82\" X 82\" and is in excellent condition, with light age spotting and no wear.

The quilting is AMAZING, with straight line, ripple, feathered wreath and grid designs quilted throughout at an even 8-10 stitches to the inch.

The back is white, the hand stitched binding is an early red print, and the batting is thin. You can see cotton seed residue inside when you hold the quilt up to the light.
