An amazing early pre civil war quilt in Caesar\'s crown pattern.
A stunning example with lush prussian blue and several browns.
Inner border has zig zags!
Measures 98 x 78 inches
Hand quilted 10-12 stitches per inch.
Hand bound. Batting is thin.
Hand pieced.
Circa 1840/50s era
Collected from estate in Lancaster County Pennsylvania.
Crisp, never used or washed.
Has age spotting tanning that covers most of the border. Also, some in other places.
A special quilt for the seasoned collector.
