A beautiful solid sterling silver spoon. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1879 with themaker’s marks being FE for Frederick Elkington, a very highly regarded firm. Ithas been superbly made having a thick strong spiral stem, and most unusual aterminal in the form of a winged cherub. It is in perfect condition being freefrom dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures 4 inches (10.2cms) longby over 0.75 inch (2.3cms) across the bowl and weighs 13 grams. A beautifullittle piece.
