A very fine quality French solidsterling silver pill or snuff box. It is hallmarked with the two boars head marks,used on small pieces as a guarantee of silver since 1838 and dates to c1910. Ithas been beautifully made being finely embossed with aflower and swag design with the inside being gilded. It is in superb condition beingfree from dings splits holes and repairs - just the odd faint mark. The inside clean, the hinge strong,and the lid forms a good seal. It measures over 1.75 inches (4.7cms) across by 0.75inch (1.9cms) tall and weighs 15 grams. A beautifully made piece.
