THIS LOT IS FOR A BEAUTIFUL AMERICAN AESTHETIC MOVEMENT STERLING SILVER FIGURAL OLIVE SERVING DISH AND TONGS MADE BY GORHAM IN 1892. THE TEXTURED SURFACE HAS THE MOST REALISTIC FINISH TO LOOK LIKE A REAL OLIVE. THE TONGS HAVE OLIVE BRANCHES FOR ARMS AND FIGURAL OLIVES AND LEAVES ON EACH ARM. THEY ARE BOTH IN EXCELLENT ORIGINAL CONDITION WITH A GREAT PATINA AND STRONG ORIGINAL GOLD WASH. IT IS NOT A LARGE PIECE, BUT HAS A NICE WEIGHT OF 6.25 TROY OUNCES. IT MEASURES 5 3/4\" LONG X 3 1/2\" WIDE, THE TONGS ARE 5\" LONG. NEITHER PIECE HAS NEVER BEEN MONOGRAMMED.
