Folks – I come across A LOT of porcelain but this set is in as good ofcondition I have ever seen and I wih allowed 100 photos because 12 justdoesn’t do justice – these are GA-GA-GA-GORGEOUS!! See the photos and try to call me aliar – they don’t do the set justice.

Up for sale is this exceedingly rare lot of 8 Royal Doulton 9” porcelainfish plates each having a pristine gilt rim (see the photos, zoom in, get outyour magnifying glass and then get ready to call me and tell me I didn’t dothem justice), really – all in just great condition - centering the handpainted polychrome reserves depicting various species of fish, each signed FredK. Hancock.

These are exquisitely painted by the artist Fred Hancock and each features fish set against thebackground of an underwater scene.

Each is highlighted with an elaborate acid etched pierced gold giltborder – SEE PHOTOS.

I can’t put it clearly enough – given the 100+ years of age on theseplates they are in excellent condition for their vintage with no chips, cracks,crazing or restoration. There are some minor scuffs – perhaps utensil but mostlikely minor storage scuffs. TO SHOW HOW BEUATIFUL CONIDITON THESE ARE IN THEYCAME WITH (TO NO SURPRISE TO ME WHEN I SAW THE CONDITION) ERA APPROPRIATE FELTPLATE SEPERATORS TO HELP AVOID DAMAGE.

Any white stains marks to the items in the photos are as a result oflight reflection.

Size - 22.8cm (9inches) in diameter.

Markings

Fully stamped to the base with the early Royal Doulton marks (as shownin the attached photographs for your reference). Each signed Fred K. Hancock. Also includes the GILLMAN COLLAMORE store of 5th Avenue in New York City - a top shelf vendor of the day - per Wikipedia:

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Fred Hancock trained as a ceramic artist at the Burslem studio inthe1880s and made his reputation as a painter of fish and game. He won a bronzemedal at the St. Louis Exhibition in 1904 around the time he was noted bycritics: ‘He was a very quick artistwith a faultless technique and his work was unsurpassed.’

Items will be shipped out within 48-business hours of purchase with tracking information provided. More often than not I will us USPS but in certain instances I may use UPS. This piece will almost certainly be shipped via UPS or USPS. Shipping is $24.99 including insurance (it may seem high but I can’t just throw this in an envelope so I have to use a box in a box, a bunch of bubble wrap and probably about half an hour to make sure nothing goes wrong).

Returns

I have a two week return policy for items that do not meet the listing description. On items that arrived damaged I request photo evidence and will issue an immediate refund upon return. PLEASE open the items before the two weeks have elapsed – unfortunately I just have no way of knowing beyond that time frame if the item was broken or damaged after delivery.
