Stunning Antique French Sterling Silver & Vermeil Strawberry / Fruit Serving Set by Puiforcat, in an extremely rare Renaissance pattern featuring meticulously detailed Caryatid pierced handles embellished with mythological Dolphins, and vermeil (18k gold on silver) ends. This 2pc set comprises a richly detailed scallop shell server, and a finely pierced sugar sifter spoon.Masterly crafted from the highest quality silver, each piece bears the French Minerve 1st standard silver mark (.950), and maker\'s mark for renowned Parisian silversmith Emile PUIFORCAT, who commenced trading in 1857. This extremely rare \'Caryatid\' fruit serving set by Puiforcat is in excellent condition with light signs of use commensurate with age to note. An extraordinary, rare, and very beautiful set of 19th century French dessert servers, for the finest of tables...
