Gilt Bronze & Marble Urns

Fresh from a very fine estate we are pleased to offera oneof a kind and the best of the best, PAIR of 19th century gilt bronze and marble urns

Both signed: F.Barbedienne.

Deep, deepgreen marble urns with lids. The bodies are adorned with an ivy motif frieze.At the center of BOTH the front and back are a pair of masks which drop from finely cast ribbons. The sides are adorned with withsuperb goat heads. They are finished withfantastic acorn and leaf bases with hoof feet.

Please take time to view photos carefully noting the fine casting and detailing throughout.

Certainly a superb centerpiece for any home.

They arein excellent condition.No breaks or repairs in the bronze. There is only some minor wear to the gilt finish. Marble looks great with the normal minor wear from age.

It appears at one point they werefitted for lamps. There is a central rod that runs from interior lid to bottom, which can be removed.

The urns standapprox. 21"high and 10 3/4" attheir widest points.

Shipping

We will ship within 4 BUSINESS days of cleared payment.  If there is a handling fee it is for the insurance costs.  I try to always charge exact shipping (there are times when I may be off by a dollar or two).  I have no control of the prices that UPS or USPS charge, but I do try and ship the cheapest way possible.  We will refund any extra charges.

I also have no control over how long it takes to get to you once it leaves my hands.
