Offered for sale is this monumental size pair of antique terracotta wall tiles depicting country peasants. One image depicts potter throwing pots on wheel; the other shows artist painting and decorating. Based on the style of dress and shoes worn in image leads me to believe the scene is Dutch and potters working in Delft, Holland. Charming pieces.

Tiles are approximately 14.75” x 13.25” x 1” thick. Each tile weighs 12lbs. Condition is sensational with one small chipped corner as photographed. Age related crazing and original factory pitting to surface. There is a slight bow to form - tiles do not lay entirely flat. These appear to have been display pieces and never installed in mortar - back side is very clean. is being sold as is and as described. . My low opening price is not representative of item value. Item is being sold as is and as described. Please ask all pertinent questions before offerding and prior to sale end. I am not a professional dealer or expert on the items I sell. I will describe marks, monograms and signatures along with a condition report to the best of my ability. Colors display differently on computer monitors – I usually provide photos with and without flash to show varying colors. All items are fairly represented and sold in \"as is” condition.

2. Payments

Payment is due within 48 hours (2 days) of sale close or purchase date. Buyers must pay before merchandise is released. Payments must be received within two days of the end of the listing unless prior arrangements have been made. If you cannot provide payment within two days, please contact me. will automatically open an “unpaid case” and apply a “strike” against any buyer who violates this payment policy.

3. Shipping and Handling

I ship within 48 hours of payment. Items ship U.S. Postal Service “Economy.” The shipping charge includes shipping costs, boxes, packing materials and handling. I will pack carefully to help ensure safety and that your item arrives intact. I often need to purchase shipping boxes. Boxes can cost between $4 and $7 each, depending on size and thickness. Additional money is spent on packing materials. Check my response as previous customers have been satisfied with my packing.

If the buyer wants a different a shipping method, actual shipping and handling costs will be charged. Double-boxing is not included unless otherwise stated.

International Shipping: International shipping is not offered on all sales – check listing carefully. Where international shipping is offered - we participate in \'s Global Shipping Program. Fees for this program, including any import fees which are generally charged on the high offer amount at the end of the sale, are calculated and charged by . We do not calculate these fees, have no control over, and do not benefit from them in any way. Please take this into consideration when placing your offer.
