What a rare find! Spectacular knobs salvaged from NorthEastern Pennsylvania. The shank (base) of each knob is solid brass. The pair comes with a steel spindle (connecting rod) and 2 setscrews to fasten the knobs to the spindle.

Each knob is multi-faceted with 12 fluted sides. The straightforward design of the shanks are accented by a rich patina, which we opted to leave. We wiped the knobs with an oil-soaked rag to make them look their best for the photos. However, we didn\'t remove any of the patina. If you prefer your hardware bright and shiny, we could clean and polish the knobs prior to shipping for $8--let us know after the sale if you are interested.

The glass is in excellent condition; no deep scratches, nicks, breaks, cracks, chips, dents, spalls, or gouges. The glass and brass portions are tightly bound and there is no looseness. jiggle, or play when you turn them.

There is one imperfection along the top rim of one of the shanks, which you could see in the second photo (bottom-left knob). It looks like the edge was pinched and pulled out to form a small arch. The arch looks too perfect to have been caused on accident by a user; it was most likely caused by the manufacturer. Otherwise, there are only a couple of subtle dents and light scratches in the shanks, which only serve to give the knobs more character, but nothing structurally threatening. It\'s getting harder and harder to find these beauties. Right before listing these knobs I searched and other sites, and couldn\'t find any green glass knobs. Get them while you still can!
