This listing is for a circa 1890s Dutch sterling silver repousse oversized, display, serving fork and spoon. They measure 14 ¾ inches or 37.5 cm long, and weigh 12.48 troy ounces or 387.7 grams.
The spoon and fork are quite elaborate in design with repousse and open work designs. At the top of the handles are wind mills, and further down the handles are figures standing holding a head in their hands and two birds at their feet. The bowl of the spoon and the tongs of the fork are marked with a lion and key mark which was used from 1853-1953.
They are in very good condition, with only minor darkening to the silver. Please see the many photographs for more on the look and condition.
