Georgian Sterling Salt Cellars

This is a wonderful pair of English sterling silver salt cellars from the Georgian period. These large, ornate salt cellars have beautiful decoration around the rims, and detailed claw feet. The bowls are gold washed. There is a nice incised decoration of a leopard on each salt.

These salt cellars are fully hallmarked. They were made by Samuel Hennell in 1818.

These large salts measure 3-5/8\" inches in diameter, with a height of approximately 2\" inches. Together they weigh 284 grams.

The condition is very good condition, with no dents, breaks or repairs. The are some numbers and lines scratched into the bottoms, around the hallmarks.
