This pair of UNTOUCHED orphans can be made stunning with some skilled help. Each measures 15 5/8” tall with 5 ½” diameter turned base and retains their rococo fire gilt cast brass candle sockets with original bobeches (2 5/8” across and hold 7/8” diameter tapers). Their stems boast sophisticated spiral fluting and the surfaces are absolutely untouched, grungy black to worn mahogany. THE PROBLEMS: one stick is missing a chunk of its base while the other has a glued crack and missing bit in the turning just above the base. One is missing its old wool fabric bottom cover, which is kind of interesting as it reveals an inset ring of lead that adds desired stability to the pair.
