A good pair of INDIAN Kutch SILVER Bowls / dishes with Gilt interior Circa 1900. With wavy border and decorated with tightly scrolled foliate and floral work and against a finely tooled background the bases with stylized peacock. As often the case the piece is unmarked. In good condition with no holes or splits just some ware to the interior gilt. Size Approx. 4.5”-115mm x 3.75”-95mm x 1.25”-33mm high.Weight 119gMuch Indian silver has no marking at all, but Kutch silver is distinguished by its closely worked, foliate, répousséand chased design. The preliminaryrépoussépattern was punched from back, after which the piece was filled with a resin compound, then worked from the outside, by hammering it into the resin. When the work was complete, the piece was heated until the resin filling melted out, leaving the now-empty piece stunningly decorated.

All items are in good condition with no major damage unless stated, but all will have general ware / marks, small dings Etc, consistent with their use and genuine age. Candlestick will not be bent but my lean very slightly as these are not modern copies.
