Up for your consideration are a pair of French Bronze Statues of Pandora and Psyche. Each statue weighs 18.6 lbs and stands on a Bronze base topped with a piece of rouge marble. Both of the marble slabs have cracks. The height of each statue measures approximately 21 inches tall. Each base measures 9 x 7 inches. Both women are standing next to podiums that were made separately from the main figures. On the podiums are urns also made separately. The bronze bases also made separate with very fine details. The level of workmanship put is nothing less than exquisite. Tapered fingers with detailed facial features. I have asked several experts that though they are unsigned they believe this pair to be by Henri Etienne Dumaige 1830-1888. One person thought they were possibly Auguste Louis Moreau 1870-1875 Original bronzes were usually never signed but hallmarked and numbered.
