This is a pair of very unusual200 million year old reptile bones!They are both spikes or horns from a strange reptile, Typothorax antiquum, an aetosaur. This creature had a body lined with variously shaped spikes & looked vaguely like a gigantic horned lizard. Both of thespikes have had a bit of restoration.Thelarger spikemeasures 2 3/8\" (60mm) in length.They werefound inupper Triassic age deposits (Norian), Bull Canyon Formation, in Quay County, New Mexico.
