Pair of Vintage Paper Papier Mache Compo Thanksgiving Turkey Candy Containers:

Here are a pair of little turkey candy containers: one is marked Japan and is still sealed. It has a stamped 10 cent price on the underside of his base. The other has the paper seal at the bottom which has been removed to get at the candy: it is older and is probably from Germany, although I can’t be sure. Each turkey stands about 3 ¼” tall. The Japan turkey has a hairline crack in its tail and the German turkey has 4 notable flakes of paint loss (see photo). He also doesn’t sit perfectly level, but is not tippy.
