Description of item for sale:
This pair of romantic figures is by the sculptor Adolph Jean Lavergne (1852-1901). Despite their petite size both pieces are filled with beautiful sharp life like detail. The gold painted spelter is a lovely color that has aged well, highlighting some of the more elegant parts. The figures are undamaged and the marble bases are also in good condition with no cracks or chips. Dimensions for each: 8.5\" tall, 3\" wide, 3.25\" deep.
