RARE & UNUSUAL MATCHED PAIR of Original TINY HANDSEWN INFANT CHILD\'s Early Antique Victorian Felt Booties, c.1890!!!

Probably made for a child less than 1 yearold. Made of felt and clearly handmade, both stitches and pink thread decorationon the end. Apparently just for warming the feet of a newborn baby.

Sewn around the top/frontas shown. ON THE END OF EACH IS A NICE PINK EMBROIDERED DESIGN. There are a series of slits on each side for decoration / ventilation.

I have never seenanything like these. Have a very nice look to them. Have an overall Victorianlook. In excellent condition. They are very soft and have a nice early cloth patina. AND COMPLETELY HAND SEWN !!! Came with a collection of antique Victorian baby shoes, booties, and moccasins I recently acquired.

In any case, you will notsee many pairs of antique handmade infant’s booties anywhere, and few like this.A NICE ADDITION TO AN ANTIQUE CHILD”S SHOE OR BOOTY COLLECTION.
