Since 1864 England had used celluloid to produce its jewelry. This gorgeous pair of amphora earrings are from the Victorian era and have a faux tortoise-shell appearance. The gold bands around the neck of the amphora test for 9 k gold. The rose gold ear wires are new The earrings measure 1/2 inch wide at the top (widest) 2 inches long with ear wire and 1 1/2 inches long without ear wire. Weight of the pair is a comfortable 5.6 g 3.6 dwt
