As you can see from the news article of 1934 these are an almost identical(and superb) example of ladies boot warmers from the victorian era. The ones shown in the article were from a museum so Ihave no reason todoubt that they are genuine - but make up your own mind before offerding.They were used by ladies maids who filled the hollow boots up with hot water before inserting them into theboots so that they were warm when put onto the foot.There is no evidence of there being stoppers either in these or in the article.
I have never seen another pair of these before, but please do make up your own mind about authenticity.Each one is approx. 20 cm long (7.50\")They will be very well packaged in bubble wrap prior to dispatch.
