Palestine/Yishuv: hat badge of the \"Shelev\" united transport cooperative, circa. mid-late 1940s; not maker-marked; size: 31.75 x 25.5mm; weight: 5.55g.
The badge depicts the logo of the cooperative: a large cargo with the name \"Shelev\" on it being loaded onto a transport truck bearing the name in English on its side. This was the company\'s logo from its founding in 1945, in Tel Aviv.
The company exists to this day - having skirted a bankrupcy - now known as \"Shelev Transport\", and over the course of its life partcipated in many national development projects.
