This is a nice femur end from a large triceratops. It has beautiful outer bone surface and a very well preserved condoyle. It was found in the hell Creek formation in Montana The opposite side of the bone was rotted out while the bone was still fresh. You can literally imagine the well preserved side stuck in the muck as the exposed side begins to decompose. It measures 18 inches long by 8 inches tall and weighs 17 pounds. The end piece of outer bone surface is broken off and it will be shipped apart. Preserved with alot of paleo bond penetrant stabilizer, this is a very solid bone. A small amount of super glue would get them back together easily.
