This sale is for a pair of Rare old Fairy Bookends which were designed by Jean Walmsley Heap for Pendelfin very early in the company\'s history. They were produced between 1954-1958. The fairy bookends are in very good condition considering their age. They have been repainted and are slightly different in colouring but that just adds to their character. These early pieces were one of a kind as painters could do free hand and no two are exactly alike. The repainting was professionally done and she has painted as close to originals as possible. The buyer will be very pleased. Please look at the photos very carefully and note that several photos at end were taken in different light to show the details and beautiful colours of each bookend. The buyer will receive photos of the \"before\" and they will be amazed and thrilled at how well they have come back to life. One bookend has original hand painted label and green felt while the other has new green felt and no label. I do have more photos which I will send on request. Please ask any questions about these pretty bookends. I want the collector who buys them to be happy with purchase. I am happy to offer a payment plan if requested as I know this is a large investment to make. I know these Fairy bookends would be a wonderful addition to any Pendelfin collection.
