This gorgeous Persian silver cigarette or jewelry (multipurpose) box with hinged lid isbeautifully hand chased/engraved to the lid and four sides with an intricate Islamic pattern of flowers and curlicues. The inside is gilded.To the base are two marks: one indicating a silver purity of 875 parts per thousand (87.5%) and the other a maker\'s or town mark.
