An outstanding piece of pottery!

Persian Iznik pottery/clay flask-tea caddy from the 19th Century (no markings)

Measures at around 4 x 6 1/2 x 2 inches with a fantastic weight.

It caught my eye because of its delicate yet somewhat rugged look.
The glaze is heavy, the detail is elaborate with traditional Persian motifs of flowers and bird.
I believe flasks like this were created intentionally with a heavy, thick crackle glaze full of imperfections, bubbles, bumps. The glaze itself seems to be intact; no chips, cracks or missing pieces observed.
The bottom is a wonderful deep terra-cotta color, indicating that the pottery may indeed be clay.
