We are exceptionally please to offer this important Persian silver gilt figural vase.

Signed several places.

Classic gently tapering ovoid form.

Adorned with series of beautifully hand carved figural vignettes in garden and rural settings.

A seated holy man in long robe, with book on lap. A pair of dragon like creatures under foot.

A reclining man strokes his beard, as a woman plays stringed instrument. Gazebo and foliage. A woman fills goblet as fellow sits amidst spent wine ewer. Temple in the distance.

United by pairs of dragon amidst lush foliage. Fire lotus and floral sprays.

Never monogrammed.

Persian vase is 10 3/4 inches tall and 8 wide and 52 standard ounces.

Two of the scenes signed. Under the base signed for 84 standard (875 silver) town and maker.

In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous silver gilt patina throughout. The hand decorated figural scenes and dragons amidst floral retain their original hand carved detail. Minimal wear to gilt and few scuffs and faint lines.
