Item: Annette\'s personally worn red jacket and Mickey Mouse ears brooch / pin by Napier.

Date: 1993

Features: Annette\'s red jacket designed for Mixture by Andee Leeds. Also includes the iconic piece of \"Mickey Mouse / Mouseketeer Ears and gloves\" costume jewelry that Annette typically wore whenever she appeared in public with this jacket. Gold tone brooch is accented with rhinestones to create a sparkle that was fitting for one of Walt Disney\'s brightest stars. Pin is approx. 2\" x 1.5\" wide.

Jacket is noted as a size \"8\". Fabric is referenced as \"100% Viscose\" / Dry Clean only.\" With brightly colored red lining with gold trim sewn onto collar and sleeves. Jacket is reminiscent of the red bandleader\'s jacket worn by Mickey Mouse in \"The Band Concert\" (1935).

Annette actually wore this very jacket and brooch for her appearances on \"Vicki!\" (the Vicki Lawrence talk show; to promote her new perfume, \"Cello\"; and to announce the formation of the Annette Funicello Research Fund) as well as for the 1993 Official Disneyana Convention held at the Disneyland Hotel (pictured with her husband, Glen Holt, as she signed a limited edition \"Mouseketeer Annette\" doll for Madame Alexander.

It was Annette\'s hope that rather than to designate specificindividuals to receivethese historic items... she asked that they be offered for the benefit of her beloved Research Fund. Annette wanted these personal items from her own collection to beused to benefit those whocontinue tosufferfrom the impact of neurological diseases. For the few dollars needed to obtain one of the treasured items from her collection...it wasAnnette\'s hope thateveryone can take part in her greatest dream: to find the cause, the treatments, and the cure for Multiple Sclerosis and diseases like MS.

Personally selected and authorized for the exclusive benefit of the Annette Funicello Research Fund for Neurological Diseases. Glen Holt and Annette Funicellowere married on May 3, 1986 and together in 1993 they founded the Fund for the purpose of researching the cause, the treatment and the cure for Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological diseases. Glen faithfully cared for Annette until her passing on April 8, 2013. He continues to carry forward Annette\'s work now as the Chairman of the Board ofDirectors for the Annette Funicello Research Fund.
