A wonderful original production cel drawing of MR SMEE from the 1953 Disney adaptation of J.M Barrie\'s Peter Pan. This was the last Disney feature in which all nine members of the Nine Old Men worked together as directing animators.
While not in a very high quality frame (or matting), the drawing itself is gorgeous. There\'s a nice animators note calling out the background as well. In addition there\'s a very nice note on the back written by a past owner as to the provenance of the drawing. According to the note, it originally came from Bill Arnold\'s personal collection - who is listed on the note as an \"intermediate drawer\" - sic In-Betweener. It was then purchased in the 1990\'s in FL from Greg and Lisa White who had a comics/collectibles business. The past owner is not noted but we purchased from them. We\'ll include a Charles Scott Gallery COA.
