This is an interesting sword, that appears to be one of the simple but effective weapons that were forged for jungleuse or fighting.I would guess this blade to be made sometime between 1900 and WW2, probably closer to WW2.The blade appears to be a Moro Bangkung.It has a wooden hoof handle that has several cracks but it is firmly set in the handle without any playThis is one of the many weapons coming out of the Philippines.The blade measures approx.18 &3/8\" long and almost 1.25\" wide and 3/16\" thick at the base.It has pitting and scratches throughout the blade, which is firmly set in the handle which has a crack as shown and it is a very sharp.There is an interesting scabbard that fits the sword nicely, but I believe it to be the wrong scabbard for the blade..It is broken at the throat.
