MILLERS WOODCUTTING FIREWOOD PROCESSOR

Why buy a splitter when you can build a complete processor for about the same price?

Why pay nearly $10,000 dollars for a firewood processor when you can make your own for less than $2500?

You are offerding on aCD containing a demonstration video and plans for the construction of a firewood processor. This machine is a hydraulically operated processor. The completed machine loads the log, cuts the log, and splits the round (4 way splitter). The operator need only roll the log onto the log loader, roll the log off of the log loader, then operate a hand crank and hydraulic levers.

The plans are in Pdf. Document format and should run on any computer with windows 98 or newer. The plans include a detailed bill of materials, step by step instructions with over 70 digital photos and diagrams of the prototype being made. Plans are 42 pages long, very detailed and easy to follow.

Construction of the processor is simple requiring minimal metalshop tools and skills. The prototype was built by a high school welding class. Because some of the parts for the original were scrap, already owned, or purchased for less than new price off of (good source for hydraulic components) the cost of construction was about $1600. Estmate for construction if all items bought new is $2500. I estimate that ittook about 60 hours of labor to make it.

The machine is simple to make needing only a welder, cutting torch, and drill press. Hand grinder, and cut off saw are helpful but not a necessity.

All firewood cutters, small farms, and individuals who cut a lot of firewood should have one of these machines.
