This sale is for a limited edition Pelikan \"Nature\" fountain pen, number 1887 out of an edition of 1999. These pens were produced as part of a series of 3 for the Hannover 2000 Expo, and are getting harder & harder to find.


I\'ve owned this pen for a number of years, and it is truly a beautiful piece. It is in excellent condition, the only flaws being a tiny bit of discoloration around the word \"Pelikan\" on the cap (please see close-up picture) and some very, very light wear marks that any pen that has been used, no matter how well cared for, acquires with time. Regarding the discoloration, it is extremely light, and did lighten significantly when I used a polishing cloth on it. I do believe that it is very likely it could be removed entirely.


The only other flaw is that the outer box is a bit worse for wear, as pictured.


This pen comes with an uncommon OM nib, which I retrofitted it with after buying the pen. It is a lovely writer.


Simply put, the reason I am selling this pen (and perhaps others) is that I need the money. The funds from this sale will be paying my rent for this month, and I\'m getting very desperate. I recently lost my home to foreclosure and am trying to salvage my personal belongings, and just recently learned I\'m losing my job at the end of the year. I\'ve gone as low as I can on the price-other Expo pens in similar condition have sold for over $100 more. So not only would you be getting a gorgeous pen for a decent price, but you\'d be helping me out a ton.
