1989 Pontiac Trans Am GTA ConvertibleLocated in Cooperstown,NY with the VERY RARE factory 5.7L (350 c.i.). There is believed to be 1 of 35 in the Firebird/Trans Am/GTA series and 15 Formulas totaling 50 units that were built before ASC realized they were converting 5.7L\'s. The 5.7 T-Top cars were only built by Pontiac in 1989. ASC only converted T-Top Camaros for Chevrolet factory orders that were shipped directly to ASC and then converted. Firebird series were converted for Pontiac Dealers after they were shipped to the Pontiac dealers and the dealer set up the conversion adding about $15,000 to the sticker price. ASC only converted third generation cars with the 5 Liter because of the lower Torque. If you want to come look at it call me or send an email. It has the tan leather with a bright red body that are orig. colors with a black top. Note:As per ASC records it was built with a tan top but was replaced at some point to a black canvas top. It was a Florida car until about 2008 when it went to CT and it had a professional re-paint. The only thing I would do to it is replace the rear seatbelts as they are discolored and the transmission mount needs to be changed. I have had four Third Generation Chevrolet Camaro Iroc Z-28s and Pontiac Trans Am GTAs and had to change each one. I have a new Poly mount but have not gotten around to changing it. On that year the rear belts were mounted on the rigid convertible top boot. The tires are brand new and the wheels were reconditioned with the correct WS6 center caps and everything works. It runs very smooth. If you are interested in it call me. The only reason for selling is my storage is tight. The car has a well documented CARFAX on hand. Mileage listed is belived to be what is on it know give or take a couple of hundred miles. It is in storage at this time and I can\'t get there to exact with the mileage on the odometer.I encourage you to come see it and there should be no disappointments. It is a head turner.
