About This Library

William B. Ziff, who had been an aviator in World War I, created Popular Aviation in August 1927. By 1929 it eventually became the largest aviation magazine, with a circulation of 100,000 by 1929. The magazine\'s changed it\'s name to Aeronautics in June of 1929 and was published by Aeronautical Publications, Inc. It went back to the title of Popular Aviation in July 1930. The magazine again changed it\'s name to Flying in 1942.Each issue carefully scanned and preserved, and typically average 68 pages of interesting articles and vintage advertising.Also Available, ALL 4 volumes spanning the years 1920 to 1963.
