What you rarely hear discussed is how it sounds (listen to attached video). Well, it sounds great. It is very loud, but not bright sounding. It plays much louder then the Reuge players I have. Those players have more teeth and seem higher pitched. This player sounds lower pitched to me which may be why it sounds warmer in my home. This is a real work of art.Porter came out with the Swan player in 2014 and it is currently still available. The price for just the player is over $9,000, so this is being offered at a great price with the matching table. This player has two musical combs with 54 teeth each, making a total of 108 teeth with the ability to play 5 octaves. The wind up motor is the sprung wound type and is made from cast iron and brass gears. The player is able to play for about 15 minutes when it is fully wound. I tested this player and it worked fine. I was careful not to damage the finish, but did notice a very small mark on the front, left of the player. I also noticed the back right leg of the table also has a small mark. I took close-up pictures of the table leg issue, so please review. The player has a small mark on the front left foot where the two wood pieces come together.This item will ship in two boxes.
