It makes this deep sound because the top of the bell is open to the longest chamber. The other two chambers are normal length. There one bullet ding on the bell of the whistle. It is about 3/4 of an inch across and 1/8 of an inch deep. There are a few wrench marks on the flats. See pics. The valve and spring are fine. There is a very long original lever on this whistle that looks like it was designed to sound the whistle by pulling the lever straight down from below with the whistle cord.
It is 20 3/8 inches long. It weighs 28 pounds. The inlet on the bottom is 1 1/2 inch pipe thread. One of the flats is marked 6 Ships internationally! Good luck with your offer!
