I first fell in love with PreciousMoments in February 1981 when I was about to be married and found myself in aquandary about what to have on the top of our wedding cake.Ididn\'tespecially like the bride and groom cake toppers of the dayand hadinitially decided that I would just have to settle for a freshfloral arrangement for the top.Two days before the wedding wereceived a card from my fiancé’s uncle and his wife saying that they had alsosent us a little something under separate cover, which we mightlike.The next day, a box arrived with the message to ‘opennow!’It was the bride and groom Precious Moments figurine:THE LORD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU E-3114, no mark. We had never seenanything quite like it before and were immediately charmed by its beauty andsimplicity . . . and its practicality given our need for a special topper forour cake.I immediately knew what I was going to do . . . and thatbeautiful piece was ushered into our lives on the top of our wedding cake (seephoto of our cake accompanying photos of this figurine being listed forsale).I remember that we got so many compliments about it.

As a result of this wedding gift, wewound up becoming collectors of Precious Moments figurines and spent quite abit of time collecting them during the 1980s.I am now downsizingand selling off several pieces that had remained boxed and stored for years dueto being a duplicate item displayed in my collection.My loss isyour gain.
