Pretty 17th early 18th Century German Apothecaries Scientific Instrument Box:

Very Rare Late 17th Early 18th Century Steel or Iron Bound Wooden Apothecaries or Scientific Instrument Cabinet or Box.

Probably German made most likely in either Nuremberg or Augsburg in around 1680.

Open the typical spring lock as you would expect for a German box of this period to reveal two side opening doors which in turn reveal three internal drawers and open spaces for all the bits and bobs.

Nice example of its type with nice top carrying handle and comes with a beautiful contemporary key.
